About Resonance

Resonance is a quiet place to listen. It gathers the tones, beats and textures people reach for when they want to sleep, settle, focus or just sit still for a while, and it plays them right in your browser.

How it works

Almost everything here is made the moment you press play. A tone is a pure note your device generates; a binaural beat is two close notes, one in each ear, that your brain blends into a slow pulse; coloured noise is a steady wash shaped to sound soft or deep. None of it is a file to download, and nothing you do is sent anywhere.

Open the mixer at the bottom of the screen and you can layer a tone under soft noise, switch a beat between binaural and isochronic, set the volume of each layer, and start a sleep timer that fades the sound out on its own.

Our honest stance

Sound genuinely helps. Slow, steady, predictable sound can calm the nervous system, mask a noisy room and ease you toward sleep, and there is real research behind a few specific cases. There is also a great deal of folklore around “healing frequencies,” and some of the popular claims are simply false.

So we keep two notes beside every sound: what research actually supports, and what tradition claims. The famous idea that 528 Hz “repairs your DNA,” for instance, is not real, and we say so plainly. The 40 Hz rate, on the other hand, is the subject of serious neuroscience research, though that is medical work and not a promise about a track you play here. We would rather you trust us than be sold to.

What this is not

This is for rest and curiosity. It is not medical advice, and it is not a treatment for any condition. If something here helps you unwind, wonderful. If you are dealing with a health concern, please talk to a professional.
